Connexio develop supports projects in Bolivia in the education and agriculture sectors
Bolivia
Bolivia is the country with the highest proportion of indigenous people and is also the poorest country in South America. Until two decades ago, the majority of the population lived from agriculture on the Altiplano, a high plateau at 4,000 meters above sea level. Since then, Bolivia has seen a sharp increase in rural exodus.
The resident population in the cities is growing rapidly; poverty and crime are on the rise. The indigenous population in particular, the Aymara and Quechua, has inadequate access to higher education institutions or political offices. Their schooling is poor, which worsens their prospects of finding a well-paid job.
Connexio develop uses the contributions to support educational and agricultural projects.

"In a fragmented society where laws don't work, I have learned to set myself short-term goals and to be happy about small steps forward. The important thing is to act and bring about change. I want to make the invisible visible and give a voice to those who are not heard."
