This idea has turned into a moving story, says Anna Shammas, the project manager. She explains: "Since the start, we have been able to organize around 13 trips with 13 different groups. Each trip was unique and special. The fact that we are now celebrating our third anniversary fills us with great gratitude - because after almost every trip, we kept asking ourselves whether and how things would continue."
Former participants and interested friends of Grace in Greece attended the celebration at the Evangelical Methodist Church in Aarau. After a short presentation with a review of the past years, the personal testimonies of the participants were moving. They shared how they experienced the trip and how God touched their lives through it. "The interviews with the camp participants were very impressive," says Ulrich Bachmann, Managing Director of Connexio hope and develop. "Through their encounters with people on the run, they experienced a profound change that had a lasting impact on their lives."
Afterwards, everyone enjoyed a Greek dinner in a festive atmosphere. The party was organized by the Grace in Greece team and Ulrich Bachmann.
Anna Shammas looks back with gratitude on the past years - and looks forward with anticipation: "We are excited to see what else God has prepared for us and are already looking forward to the next trip with a new group at the end of this year."
