Church educational work

The aspiring Methodist Church bnecessary well-trained pastors and committed Laymen, who are able to Municipalities to lead in a complex environment. 

Another important task is to give children and young people inspiration for their faith and their lives. The church also runs two Tutoringschools in rural areas.

A major challenge for the growing church is the training of people in leadership positions. Every year, five to ten men and women graduate from the four-year Bible school in Phnom Penh. During the subsequent four-year probationary period until they are ordained as elders, the church leaders attend two further training seminars every year.

Another area of work is working with children and young people. In children's groups and youth camps, they receive important impulses for their lives and their faith. The church also runs two tutoring schools in rural areas. Together, the two schools offer 115 pupils lessons in Khmer, English, mathematics and computer skills. There is also a Sunday school.

Connexio hope supports the Bible school with an annual contribution and, if required, with further training seminars for pastors and lay people. Connexio hope also supports the church's children and youth work and the two tutoring schools.

Project objective

Women and men receive sound training and further education in order to lead churches well. Children and young people learn new things for their lives and their faith. Children who would otherwise have no access to education attend school.
