Connexio Mission Talk with Socheata Chap

Meet people from Connexio hope and develop's partner countries online. This time: Sochata Chap, Country Coordinator Cambodia.

The "Connexio Mission Talks" format gives you the opportunity to invite guests to your home - quite simply, via your computer, to take part in a one-hour ZOOM-to take part in the discussion.

Why?

The aim of these "Connexio Mission Talks" is to come into direct contact with people from the partner churches, to hear from them what is on their minds and to strengthen our common bond.

When and where?

The "Mission Talk" takes place online around 5-6 times a year and is announced in good time.

If you don't want to miss out, you can put your name on the invitation list. Simply send an Urs Schweizer write.

The next talk will take place on Tuesday, October 28 at 12:15 pm.

Guest is Socheata Chap, country coordinator of Connexio hope and develop in Cambodia.

What moves people in Cambodia?

When we think of Cambodia, sandy beaches and fine food may come to mind. But what is on the minds of the people of Cambodia, what are their worries and their hopes?

Socheata Chap coordinates the programs of Connexio hope and Connexio develop and is in daily contact with people: at the Bible school (she teaches English), in the villages and with her relatives. In Mission Talk, Socheata talks about the border conflict with Thailand, the effects of climate change and poverty. But she also talks about where she sees people's resources and what gives her joy and hope.

So that Socheata doesn't have to stay out in the middle of the night, this time it's a mission lunchtime talk that starts at 12:15.

The talk, which will last around an hour and include an opportunity to ask questions, will be in English, with translation into German.

Please register at least one hour before the start at Urs Schweizerto obtain the ZOOM access data.
