Solidarity alert: Join us in stopping the slashing of development cooperation!
Swiss politicians want to massively cut contributions for development cooperation. This is deeply lacking in solidarity and affects the poorest. We must shake Parliament awake now and stop the impending cuts.
Switzerland is abandoning the poorest: while hunger and poverty are increasing worldwide, the planned cuts in Swiss politics are affecting the poorest. Money is being cut where it is most urgently needed. Development cooperation supports people in the Global South and promotes security and stability. Successful projects are therefore under threat and effective partnerships are being dismantled. We must also not play off people's suffering against each other: The important aid for Ukraine must not be financed at the expense of development cooperation in the poorest countries. Because a Switzerland that shows solidarity can afford additional funds.
